The Guilford County Enrichment Fund encourages creative, hands-on classroom projects by providing grants to teachers who have innovative ideas on how to supplement the curriculum.
Individual grants are limited to a maximum of $500. Group projects must include 3 or more teachers and can be awarded up to $1,200.
In order to receive a grant, projects must be hands-on, student-powered projects.
Grants will be awarded to projects that supplement the regular classroom curriculum and stimulate academic growth.
Grants will not be awarded for performers, workshop leaders, tablets, computers, food, supply lists, or instructional kits.
Grant money must be spent in this school year and cannot be carried over to next school year. Unused money must be returned.
Grants can be partially funded.
Grant recipients (the lead teacher for group projects) will be emailed by December 10.
Grant awards will be deposited in the school’s account by January 20.
Teachers must submit both Parts One and Two of the application form.
Group projects must include the names and signatures of all teachers applying for the grant.
The application may be uploaded and submitted online or printed out and mailed to: Enrichment Fund for the Guilford County Schools, Inc., P.O. Box 10208, Greensboro, NC 27404, marked “Mini-Grant Application.”
By May 31, grant recipients are required to provide to the Enrichment Fund:
1. All relevant receipts for the project.
2. A brief evaluation of the project, either self-created or using the form provided on the Enrichment Fund’s website.
Failure to adhere to these rules will result in the teacher being ineligible for future grants.
