Grants for Class Field Trips

The Enrichment Fund will provide grants of up to $500 to enable students with financial need to participate in educational field trips. The grants can be used for admission fees, transportation, etc. for individual students or entire classes who would not be able to participate in the proposed trip without financial assistance.

General Information

Grants are available to all grades in the Guilford County school system.

Grants are available to schools with at least 40% of students receiving free or reduced lunches.

Schools with the greatest financial need will be given priority.

Grants are for a maximum of $500 per field trip.

Grants will be awarded until the funds budgeted for the year are depleted.

Application Deadlines
October 15 and February 15

Application Requirements
Complete the online Field Trip Grant Application below.

Verification
Within 45 days after the field trip, the Enrichment Fund must receive:

1. A receipt for any payments made with Field Trip Grant funds.

2. A check for the total amount of all unused grant money.

If a school fails to comply with these requirements, it will be barred from consideration for future grants for at least one year.
