American National Bank Classroom Lending Library Grant

Through the generosity of the American National Bank, The Guilford County Enrichment Fund will be providing grants of up to $200 to elementary school teachers who would like to create or add to a classroom lending library for their students. The hope is that the lending library will give students who may not have many books in their homes continuous access to books.

General Information

Individual grants are for a maximum of $200.

Teachers are asked to focus on purchasing books that will appeal especially to the students reading below grade level.

While media centers and school libraries are essential, please do not submit projects that seek to supply these areas.

No group applications will be considered.

Application Deadline
Rolling

Applicants will be notified of the status of their application within two weeks of submitting an application.

Application Requirements
The application must be completed by the classroom teacher.

Grants are limited to elementary school teachers in the Guilford County school system.

An itemized purchase order must be attached.

Verification
All receipts and a brief narrative evaluation must be submitted to the Enrichment Fund by May 1.
